Summit and Shore is dedicated to offering free tours and adventures for military personnel and veterans, addressing the urgent need for mental health support within this community. According to the US Department of Veterans Affairs, 17-18 veterans die by suicide each day, with 1 in 4 reporting feelings of isolation and disconnection from society. The suicide rate among active-duty military personnel has also been alarmingly high, with the U.S. Army reporting a rate of 30.4 suicides per 100,000 soldiers in 2020—twice the civilian rate. Recognizing the importance of respite and community for veterans, the founding board members of Summit and Shore Alliance aim to transform isolation into connection and support through nature immersion and community engagement. Together, these elements create a powerful combination for healing and mental health improvement, offering a humble yet impactful tribute to those who have served. Proceeds go toward free adventures, trips, and tours for Military and Vets.

Alex Drawbaugh – Summit and Shore Alliance President
Alex Drawbaugh is the President of Summit and Shore Alliance, where he channels his lifelong passion for outdoor adventure into creating unique, immersive experiences for those seeking to connect with nature in exciting and meaningful ways. From the moment Alex could walk, he was exploring the outdoors—whether it was racing motorcycles, chasing snow on his snowmobile, or escaping to the lake to beat the summer heat. This love of adventure naturally led him to pursue a career focused on sharing these thrilling experiences with others.
Alex’s journey began with founding Mile High Adventure Rentals, a high-performance rental business specializing in motorcycles, snowmobiles, ATVs, and more. Today, he’s focused on his true mission: to create and curate unforgettable outdoor adventures for people of all backgrounds and skill levels through Summit and Shore Alliance.
While Mile High Adventure Rentals remains a key part of Alex’s business, offering top-tier equipment for those seeking adventure on their own terms, his heart lies in the experiences he creates with Summit and Shore Alliance. His goal is simple: to inspire others to explore the great outdoors and create memories that last a lifetime.
Chris Hock – Founding Board Member
Chris Hock is a founding board member of Summit and Shore Alliance, where his passion for bringing people together shines through in every project he tackles. A natural community organizer and networker, Chris thrives on connecting people to experiences that are as memorable as they are meaningful. His expertise extends beyond outdoor adventure, as he also owns Earth Saving Solutions, one of Denver’s leading general contracting companies, recognized for its commitment to sustainability and quality craftsmanship.
In addition to his contracting work, Chris is dedicated to giving back through his veteran initiatives, where he offers discounted services and funds home remodeling and repair projects for veterans. His work not only improves the lives of those who have served but also reflects his deep commitment to supporting the veteran community.
Known for his ability to plan unforgettable events, Chris is also one of the best when it comes to creating epic, once-in-a-lifetime experiences. Whether it’s getting a mariachi band onto a pontoon boat for an unforgettable birthday bash, orchestrating logistics for large groups on houseboats at Lake Powell, or curating snowcat and snowmobile events in the backcountry, Chris specializes in the extreme and the unforgettable. His ability to take any occasion to the next level makes him the go-to guy for planning remote excursions that everyone will remember for years to come. Chris serves as the Community Organizer and has a hand in event production, bringing his unique touch to Summit and Shore Alliance.
Jennifer Jordon – Founding Board Member
Jennifer Jordon is a founding board member of Summit and Shore Alliance and brings a unique blend of experience from her career in television production and event management. Jennifer’s love for the outdoors and adventure, plus a deep passion for sustainability and encouraging society to find inspiration in nature, is the crux of her work at Summit and Shore Alliance.
Jennifer’s career spans major productions for networks like Discovery Channel, HGTV, Food Network, and VH1, as well as high-profile live events. A significant part of her work has focused on capturing remote lifestyles, spending years in the backcountry of Alaska and off-grid locations, where she explored the power of nature and the ingenuity required to live sustainably in extreme environments. A committed advocate for sustainability, Jennifer also served as the Sustainability Tour Manager for U2, helping to reduce the environmental impact of one of the world’s most iconic tours. These experiences deepened her passion for immersive storytelling and ignited her desire to create meaningful, adventure-driven experiences. She brings that energy and expertise to Summit and Shore Alliance, curating exceptional outdoor retreats and adventures that build appreciation for the power of the natural world.
Jennifer has hosted retreats across the U.S. and Mexico, crafting deeply transformative experiences that connect people to nature, culture, and the spirit of adventure. Now with Summit and Shore Alliance, she leads Public Relations and Communications, where her passion is to amplify the mission and create unforgettable, life-changing adventures for people from all walks of life.
Mike Duffy – Founding Board Member
Mike Duffy is a founding board member of Summit and Shore Alliance and serves as the organization’s Protocol and Safety Advisor, bringing unparalleled expertise in motorized avalanche education and mountain safety. With decades of experience in mountain rescue, Mike is a leader in snowmobile safety and motorized avalanche training. He was the first to offer Motorized Level I Avalanche Classes in the U.S. and has since developed motorized avalanche education programs for some of the top avalanche schools across the country, including Alaska Avalanche School, American Avalanche Institute, and Silverton Avalanche School.
Mike’s dedication to safety is matched only by his passion for helping people create unforgettable memories in the backcountry. As a snowmobile expert and authority in avalanche education, he’s committed to providing effective, practical training that exceeds international safety standards. His approach combines technical knowledge with hands-on experience, ensuring that everyone—from seasoned riders to newcomers—can enjoy the thrill of snowmobiling while staying safe in the most challenging terrain.
In his role with Summit and Shore Alliance, Mike not only advises on protocols but also helps design adventures that prioritize safety without sacrificing the excitement and adventure that come with exploring nature’s wildest places. His commitment is in creating extraordinary experiences for members, while equipping them with the knowledge and skills they need to make those experiences as safe as they are unforgettable.
